Alaçatı wind and equipment supply
With shallow water and a reliable breeze, Alaçatı bay is one of the internationally recognised places to learn windsurfing. Shallow water removes the fear of falling — you learn at a depth where you can stand.
That reputation has deepened the equipment supply. Finding different sail sizes, board volumes and level-appropriate packages is easier here than on other coasts.
Lesson first, or equipment?
In windsurfing, a lesson before renting is close to mandatory; even carrying the rig into the water takes technique. Most schools offer lesson-plus-equipment packages.
Experienced riders commonly rent equipment on its own, and prices vary with sail size. Listings state which wind range a given rig suits.
