Renting equipment at Erciyes
Rental shops at Erciyes cluster around the resort gates and along the approach road. During Turkish school holidays and long weekends, queues build between 09:00 and 11:00; a booked customer skips those hours.
Because the resort sits high, the season can run from early December into April. Height also means cold and wind: a helmet, a neck gaiter and good gloves earn their keep here more than at lower resorts.
Getting there and staying
The drive from central Kayseri to the ski area takes roughly half an hour, and the airport connection is among the shortest of any Turkish ski resort. That makes Erciyes one of very few places where a day trip genuinely works.
Staying in the city and driving up daily is markedly cheaper than the mountain hotels. Renting equipment from a shop in the city is also an option; in Pistrun the pickup point of each listing is shown on the map.
