Palandöken's slope profile is steeper and longer than the Turkish average, and that feeds straight into equipment choice: a short, soft beginner ski becomes unsettled at speed on a long descent. For skiers who have moved past beginner, renting one class up makes sense here.

Getting there from Erzurum
The resort is close to central Erzurum and its airport, so day access is straightforward. That proximity makes staying in the city and driving up an economical option.
